  The Eclectic Coven of Red Mountain is an independent Birmingham, Alabama-based coven founded for the practice of Wicca, the pursuit of learning, and the promotion of tolerance. ECRM is incorporated as a non-profit religious organization in the State of Alabama. We began as a circle of solitaries, coming together to celebrate the sabbats and learn from each other, then evolved into a coven in 1998. We are a very eclectic group in every way -- backgrounds, traditions, and personalities -- who agree to abide by the Wiccan Rede, to serve the community within and without, and to honor the Lady and Lord.
  
  We are an eclectic working/teaching tradition utilizing a three degree system of training and attainment. We hold regular (and sometimes irregular) weekly meetings; we celebrate the Sabbats, and we come together when appropriate for spellwork. In general, we create our own rituals, recipes, and crafts. Three of our members are formally ordained. We have a  High Priestess and High Priest as well as other officers (Maiden, Summoner, Watcher, etc.) who act when and where appropriate for the group. Outside of Coven activities, each member remains an autonomous individual practitioner.  Within Coven, all decisions are made by a consensus of the council of all members in accordance with our bylaws. When we act, we act as one.
  
  Currently, our major focus is education -- both of our members and of the community at large. Through our community education division, Eclectic Circle, we offer programming on topics related to comparative religion, world spirituality and mythology. Programs are selected to appeal to an eclectic audience of diverse backgrounds and faiths and designed to inform and entertain, to encourage open-minded discourse, and to foster a culture of tolerance, understanding and mutual respect. All Eclectic Circle programs are free and open to the public.

• Compass Coven is an eclectic Wiccan coven, the founding coven for the Compass tradition. We are a closed circle, and do not take on students, but we are very active in community networking. We worship the Triple Goddess and Horned God, though our coven is particularly consecrated to Herne. Our tradition prizes pontenaeity(sp?) and inspiration, and we never use the same ritual twice, as we believe this leads to rote recital instead of a conscious opening to the Gods. We do not use a degree system, and merely distinguish between initiates and non-initiates. Our practice varies between an hp/hps model and a dual priestess model, depending on our membership.   Mooncoast Cuups is the St. Petersburg chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian   Universalist Pagans, an affiliate group of the Unitarian Universalist Church.   They provide worship and ministerial support for Pagan-identified UU's, and also host open Sabbat rituals which are family-friendly. CAROLINA SPIRIT QUEST

Carolina Spirit Quest is an Earth Centered Spirituality weekend festival which has been held each Spring for the last five years by a group of Pagans in the Carolinas and Virginia. There will be workshops, rituals, sales booths, meals together and community building activities. They are all designed to get us better acquainted and promote networking within the diverse community of Earth Centered and Pagan folks that inhabit this area.

EarthDance is a festival featuring classes and workshops, music, drumming, a pot-luck feast, swimming, group ritual, and other pagan activities. The site is a wooded group camp with small cabins, and will hold a maximum of 120 people, so reserve early! No camping is allowed in the Group Camp, but camping is available elsewhere in the Park, and nearby at Callaway Gardens.

HIGHLANDS OF TENNESSEE SAMHAIN GATHERING (HTSG)
Near Gatlinburg, TN

Guest speakers, Workshops, Drumming, Bardic Singing. One of the most important Samhain events in the southeast. Held in the Highlands of Tennessee near Gatlinburg. Excellent event.
